This report gives information on the latest population estimates available for Norfolk, as issued by the Office for National Statistics on 24 June 2010. The County’s population was an estimated 853,400 in mid-2009, an increase of around 6,100 from the revised estimate for mid-2008. These estimates were made using an improved methodology. The same methodology was used to produce a revised set of 2002 to 2008 estimates, which result in lower figures for the County and some Districts but higher figures in others.

Population estimates from 2002 to 2008 currently published on Norfolk insight will shortly be updated, along with publication of the 2009 estimates.
