Case studies - Adult Social Services

Adult Social Services (ASS) are currently updating the Norfolk Older People's Strategy. An element of this is updating the evidence base to identify the current challenges they are facing in Norfolk.

The Norfolk Data Observatory (NDO) enabled ASS to access a range of data quickly and easily for Norfolk and a breakdown by district. This included: % of people aged 65+ (2006 population estimate), % of people aged 85+ (2006 population estimate), population projections, life expectancy, deprivation data relating to income deprivation among older people, and pension credit claimants. The NDO also linked to the Norfolk Health Profile 2007, which also provided ASS with a range of health indicators.
