Key headlines

• Norwich is the most deprived local authority district in the County on three of the six local authority summary measures of deprivation, and Great Yarmouth the most deprived on the remaining three – this has not changed since ID2007

• The relative position of Norwich has however improved compared with ID2007 across all but one of the summary measures. Although the relative positions of Breckland, Broadland, North Norfolk and South Norfolk have worsened, these are still Districts with a relatively low degree of deprivation

• Norfolk has 29 Lower Super Output Areas (LSOAs) that fall within the ten per cent most deprived in England, out of a total of 530 (5.5 per cent) in the County;
