Joint Strategic Needs Assessment
Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA)
The Joint Strategic Needs Assessment for Norfolk is in the process of being ‘refreshed’, and as a key part of this, the information is being presented in a different way. The changed structure has been introduced to make it easier for users to find information and to align better with planning and commissioning of services.

Each section will hold datasets where possible, key reports and strategies and links to other useful documents or websites. Please note that as some of the sections are very new, we are still developing much of the content. Over the next few months, updated JSNA reports will be published on Norfolk Insight. View JSNA

New report

  • 2006-based population and household projections for Norfolk

We have released our own population and household projections for Norfolk County and Districts. These are 2006-based figures and run to 2031. They take account of the Office for National Statistics (ONS) 2006-based population projections and the Communities and Local Government (CLG) 2006-based household projections. These are dwelling-led projections, in that they are consistent with the house building assumptions of the District Council 2008-based housing trajectories. They tend towards the maximum level of likely growth as they count ‘windfall’ development as an additional allowance on top of the allocations needed to meet minimum regional targets.

This report explains the basis for the projections and highlights some key points from the results. It also includes a brief comparison of these results with the equivalent trendbased projections published by ONS and CLG.

This report can be accessed and downloaded through Norfolk Insight - www.norfolkinsight.org.uk/population.asp
